Square in shape and measuring 10cm x 10cm (4 x 4 inches) and a 5mm thickness, the drinks coaster set is supplied in a pack of six. The packaging has a see-through cellophane lid displaying the Streets of London coasters inside.

Painted by Richard Macneil the London scenes set of coasters each displays an image of one the famous London landmarks of Westminster Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Piccadilly, Whitehall and Tower Bridge.

Hard, heat treated coasters

Designed to prevent ring marks left by tea or coffee cups from damaging your precious furniture. The hard, upper surface of these table protectors has a glazed, heat treated layer which is sealed and protects the art print of the Streets of London from being affected. The wooden centre of each drinks coaster is a robust 5mm thick and this gives them a really solid feel.

This is also the key reason why the heat from the mug or coffee cup cannot penetrate to the surface of your table and so prevents the annoying “blooming” effect. Something especially noticeable with varnished surfaces where the heat from the tea cup leaves a white mark. The base of the coaster is a soft cork, this corkbacked layer stops any scratches or scuffs from marking your furniture.

Keeping your drinks coasters always on hand has the benefit of removing the possibility of guests or other family members putting their wine glass or cup of tea directly onto the lovely smooth surface of your table. Avoid immersing the Plymouth Pottery placemats and coasters in water and you must not put them in the dishwasher or microwave. Targeted primarily for domestic use only, these wooden centred drinks coasters can withstand temperatures to around 100ºC which at the boiling point of water is more than enough for your mug of tea or coffee.
