They have a generous 5mm thickness which easily prevents the heat from even the hottest plates reaching your dining or kitchen table as well as creating a strength to the mat itself. The wood pulp used in the construction of these tablemats is compliant with current energy efficient standards and the wood itself is sourced from managed forests.
